Belt Design Follows the Process

Belt selection is driven by temperature, product weight, drainage and cleaning regime. Spiral balanced weave offers high open area and good tracking for baking, cooling and freezing tunnels. Compound weave adds density and strength for heavier loads. Honeycomb flat wire belting gives a flatter carrying surface for small parts, while polyester spiral mesh handles sludge dewatering and paper stock. Belt Joining, Spares and Maintenance

Metal belts are normally supplied endless or with a joining kit, depending on whether the machine can be opened for belt installation. CITTI Mesh supplies replacement spiral coils, cross rods and edge links so that a damaged section can be repaired in place instead of replacing the whole belt, which is the single largest maintenance saving available on a spiral belt system. Belts are measured against the machine's drum centres and tension take-up range before fabrication, and the company records the geometry so repeat orders match. Because 70 to 80 percent of output is exported, dimensions are confirmed in writing against drawings, avoiding the common problem of a belt arriving a few links too short.
